A natural resource that is consumed faster than it can be created nonrenewable resource. Nonrenewable resources are resources like coal and oil that we use up quicker than nature can replace them.

A molecule composed of three oxygen atoms, it blocks UV rays. Ozone is a gas in the Earth's atmosphere that helps protect us from the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation.
Pollution
Adding harmful substances to the land, water or air. Pollution. Pollution is when harmful materials contaminate the environment, making it unsafe or unhealthy for living things.
Renewable resource
A resource that is replaced by nature more quickly than it is consumed. Renewable resource. A renewable resource is something like sunlight or wind, which can be used repeatedly without running out.
