Acoustics
The study of sound. Acoustics. Acoustics is the study of how sound works and moves through different places.
Decibel
A unit of sound loudness. Decibel. A decibel is a way to measure how loud a sound is, like when you compare a whisper to a shout.
Echo
A reflected sound wave. Echo. An echo is when you hear a sound again because it bounces off a surface like a wall or a mountain.
Loudness
How loud or soft a sound is perceived to be. Loudness. Loudness is how we tell if a sound is strong like a fire truck siren or quiet like a whisper.
Pitch
How high or low a sound is, as determined by its frequency. Pitch. Pitch is how high or low a sound seems.
