Change of state
A physical change of matter between solid, liquid, and gas. Change of state. It's when something like water changes from ice to liquid or steam.
Gas
A state of matter that has no fixed shape or volume is gas. Gas is all around us, like the air we breathe.
Liquid
A state of matter that has definite volume but no definite shape liquid. A liquid is something that takes the shape of its container but always keeps the same amount.
Matter
Anything that has volume and mass is matter. Matter is everything around us like tables, air, and water.
Solid
The state of matter with definite shape and volume is solid. A solid is something that stays the same shape and size, like a rock or a toy block.
