Boiling point
The temperature at which a liquid boils. Boiling point. The boiling point is when a liquid gets hot enough to turn into a gas, like water turning into steam.
Change of state
A physical change of matter between solid, liquid, and gas. Change of state. A change of state is when matter changes from one form, like ice, to another form, like water.
Freezing point
The temperature at which a liquid changes to a solid is called the freezing point. Freezing point is when water gets cold enough to turn into ice.
Heat
The thermal energy transferred from a warmer object to a cooler object. Heat. Heat is the warmth that moves from something hot to something cool.
Melting point
The temperature at which a solid changes into a liquid is called the melting point. The melting point is when something like ice becomes water because it's warm enough.
