Dominant trait
A trait of an allele that masks the other trait. Dominant trait. A dominant trait is a characteristic that shows up when an organism has it, even if there's only one copy of the gene for it.
Genetics

A trait that is masked from a dominant allele. Recessive trait. A recessive trait is a characteristic that can be hidden by a stronger trait and only shows up when both parents pass on the hidden trait.
