Isolated System

A physical system through which neither mass nor energy can pass
Real World Example
Imagine trying to keep a cup of hot coffee warm without any external help while sitting outside on a chilly day. This is similar to an isolated system where no heat (energy) or coffee (mass) can escape or be added to the cup. Just as the coffee's temperature would eventually drop because it can't receive any warmth from the outside, an isolated system remains unaffected by external changes because nothing can enter or leave it.
